What do you enjoy most about working for Mercedes Homes?

The people; we are all working toward the same goal, we all care about our jobs, and everyone creates a friendly work environment.
What was your career path?
I got my degree in Construction Management, and then I came to Mercedes Homes as an assistant builder.
Why did you choose Mercedes Homes?
During the interviewing process I met many people, including the Division President. This allowed me to see how the company was run, and what Mercedes Homes had to offer me in terms of growth and opportunities.
How does Mercedes Homes support your career goals?
Mercedes Homes offers extensive training, which strengthens the working-while-learning environment. And they offer tuition reimbursement!
Why would you recommend Mercedes Homes for college graduates?
Because residential building is booming and here to stay. Mercedes Homes is a great place to work; you get to meet people from other divisions, people from all levels, and everyone seems very happy with the company. Everyone is excited and open-minded, and very eager to learn and grow with the company.
What is your typical day like?
I start at 7 am and check scattered lots. I drive my route in the morning, check on my houses, and make sure everything is ready for the day’s scheduled inspections. Also, I make sure everything is scheduled properly, answer phone calls, and work out any problems that may come up. In addition, I order materials, such as bathtubs, windows, doors, and I double check trades and blocks before building.
