What do you enjoy most about working for Mercedes Homes?

One of the main things that I like about Mercedes Homes is the value and importance they place on each employee. Even though the company has close to 2000 employees, it still feels like a small company in the sense that you can see how your efforts make a difference.
What was your career path?
And I plan to continue to:
Within Mercedes Homes, what position did you enter into? What positions have you moved to from there?
I graduated from college with a degree in finance and limited construction experience. Mercedes Homes gave me the construction experience by hiring me as an Assistant Superintendent. As soon as I was ready and when the position was made available, I was able to move into the purchasing department where I combined my new-found construction experience with my finance background to give me the foundation I needed.
Why did you choose Mercedes Homes?
I chose Mercedes Homes because of their potential for future growth balanced by their family orientation. I was very impressed when my Regional President told me that he wanted the employees to go home at 5 o’clock each day to be with their families.
Why would you recommend Mercedes Homes for college graduates?
I would recommend Mercedes Homes to any college graduate primarily because of the opportunities for growth. At Mercedes Homes they will find a competitive yet friendly atmosphere where they can constantly improve and progress.
