Mercedes Homes Selects Sears As Companywide Appliance Provider

MELBOURNE, FLA. (June 13, 2005) – Mercedes Homes is pleased to announce that they are now working exclusively with Sears, Roebuck and Company to provide home buyers with more choices in quality appliances. Sears is the nation's leading appliance retailer -- and Kenmore is the nation's leading appliance brand.

While the builder has chosen Sears Kenmore as their primary appliance provider, home buyers can also select from Whirlpool, Kenmore, KitchenAid, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, Amana, Bosch and Jenn-Air brand appliances with the new program.

“This partnership offers the kind of choices our homebuyers are asking for, ” said Craig Schmauss, Mercedes Director of Purchasing. “Through this program, we are now able to offer our customers a greater selection and, better service—it’s a win-win.”

Additionally, Mercedes home buyers will receive a discount card from Sears to use at any Sears location for the purchase of any regular priced or sales merchandise, excluding appliances.
