Mercedes Homes was established in 1983 by Howard Buescher, a 23-year veteran of the
homebuilding business and his daughter Susan Girard. He named the new company after his wife, Mercedes, and the home builder quickly earned
a reputation for outstanding design. Howard's other children quickly followed him into the business and today, five of them lead our
innovative company. Mercedes Homes continues to expand rapidly in Florida , Texas and North and South Carolina and has now built homes for
over 40,000 families.
From just 35 homes in 1983, Mercedes Homes takes pride in designing and building thousands of homes each year. Builder Magazine ranks
Mercedes Homes as the 20th largest builder in the nation. Yet despite its strength and size, our company maintains a family feel and
